Abstract
  • This project wants to integrate lessons learned in and skills developed as a result of four courses in the Bible and proclamation in the contemporary world track of the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary's doctor of ministry program: Biblical theology; Hermeneutics; Old Testament exegesis and sermon design; and New Testament exegesis and sermon design. The project leads towards three sermons to be composed by interacting the disciplines addressed by those courses. The sermons will draw from two or three (instead of the accustomed one) lections for a Sunday in Epiphany, Lent and Easter, 1988. All of life's services want to be stimulated, motivated, excited, equipped and directed by worship's exercises and experiences. Having been addressed by the Word and been involved in worship, the clergy and laity united can expand, improve the progress in ministry in their contemporary world.
