Abstract
  • This project identifies the why, what, where, how, when, and who of chancel drama. The project constructs a program to study, evaluate, and improve the drama ministry of Saint John Lutheran Church in Sunman, Indiana. Such a chancel drama ministry is a workable model for Christian education and worship. The project includes research interviews with church drama experts such as Alfred Edyvean, Paul Harms, and John Reed, along with an intensive reading of related literature. This chancel drama study proposes a program of planned renewal in the local church and other contexts.
