Abstrakt

The author's thesis was to implement a new model for African American Ministry. A plan was developed and implemented through preaching and teaching and program implementation that sought to bolster the congregation's self-esteem. It uses the Pro-Active Research Method as an evaluative tool. John Wesley United Methodist Church is a small (100 member) church with an average age membership of 65. This plan was marginally successful. The pastor was moved before being able to fully realize the results of the plan. The plan was implemented between January 1, 1998 and June 2000.
