Abstract
  • This project is an attempt to identify Biblical principles of the family and connect them to corresponding principles derived from modern family counseling theory. The author discovered 'missing pieces' pertaining to interrelationships among family members, in each counseling theory considered, and found that many of those 'missing pieces' were present in Scripture. The author's goal is to integrate theology with counseling theory in the form of curriculum. Through inductive study the paper was written with the literary approach, using the relationships among people in the narratives of Scripture as the Biblical foundation for understanding oneself and the modern family.
