Abstract
  • In these years, the author observed that there were many Mandarin speaking immigrants from China arriving in Australia. The thesis is about developing Mandarin ministry in the Chinese Alliance Churches of Australia. It is to plant a mandarin speaking congregation in a Chinese church using the resources from both Cantonese congregations and second-generation English congregation. Using interviews with churches that have existing Mandarin ministry with mainland Chinese, the author researched and examined the contributing factors to an effective strategy to develop Mandarin ministry. In conclusion, the author has discussed that the strategy is feasible and it is able to build a strong foundation for Mandarin ministry within Chinese churches.
