- Abstract
- The author developed a model for leadership in the Christian Church/Church of Christ involving the responsibilities of elders and deacons. First a biblical study of both Old and New Testament was done. Second, a functional model was developed which allowed the uniqueness of both responsibilities to be developed. Third, a six-lesson course to communicate this information was developed. A brief survey of some other congregations was included. The results in the Morris congregation have been positive in terms of the development, both spiritual and functional, of existing and new leaders. This has in turn allowed continued congregational growth.
