Abstract
  • The method used in the project is that of the Whiteheads' in their book, 'Method in Ministry.' An attempt is made to adapt the comunidades de base experience of Latin America to the suburban parish in the US. Small communities are shown to be church because they possess the four characteristics of church: koinonia, kerygma, leitourgia, and diakonia. Furthermore, the small communities enable their members to be more fully Christian while building up the larger parish community.
