Abstract

This project aimed to develop a disciple-making strategy for Brewer Lake Baptist Church in Day, Florida (BLBC). This purpose was achieved by completing four project goals. The first goal was to explore BLBC’s internal demographics. I developed a Spiritual Health Survey designed to assess basic Bible knowledge, faithfulness in personal spiritual disciplines, and engagement in disciple-making practices. This survey also captured denominational background, city of origin, gender, and generational category. The second goal was to explore methods and models of disciple-making to identify essential elements and best practices. I examined scholarly resources and proven models developed by respected practitioners in the field. The third goal was to create a disciple-making strategy. I recruited and trained a strategy planning team (SPT) that represented a cross-section of the church and led them in developing the strategy. This SPT included youth group members, ministry leaders, faithful laypersons, and a deacon. The final project goal was to present the finished strategy to the church. The entire SPT assisted in presenting the strategy on a Sunday morning using a multimedia presentation.
