Abstract
  • Field testing of a written manuscript, 'Singleness, Marriage, and the Will of God,' will demonstrate constructive change in the perspectives of single adult readers with regard to their approach to marital decision making. The research method employed a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis. Volunteer readers submitted a pretest and a posttest utilizing a Likert scale format. They also wrote open-ended responses to seven evaluation questions. The quantitative analysis confirmed the thesis. Reader response substantiated the relevance and appropriateness of the content for accomplishing the goals of the manuscript, and provided useful suggestions for improvement of a future published version.
