Abstract
  • Believers and churches that emphasize the power and presence of the Holy Spirit do quite well when they do not unnecessarily threaten or exclude others, and when they allow diversity. This project brings the charismatic movement into local churches through shared worship and teaching events that celebrate spiritual power and diversity. Such events are now available through the recently formed 'Peninsula Regional Gathering' (a part of the UMC's charismatic 'Manna Ministries'). Followup interviews show that participants sharing their experiences effectively bridge different traditions.
