- Abstract
- This ministry project centers around basic trainees between the ages of seventeen and twenty-one. The project develops suicide prevention classes and techniques utilizing logotherapy techniques. Stress-related anxiety and pressures of basic combat training are addressed. Also included is a suicide prevention class developed and presented to the major commanders in an Army installation. The Purpose in Life Test was administered and scored as a part of the research, and follow-up counseling was conducted with those whose scores indicated lack of purpose in life.
