Abstract
  • Youth ministry is a responsibility shared among the pastor, the laity, and the young people themselves. Each one is given gifts in ministry. When these gifts are discovered and developed, a team of people can be effective in ministry with young people. This project created objectives, recruited adults as leaders, and developed a youth program. The pastor took a leadership role, but encouraged leadership from adults and students alike. The project was successful in that effective youth ministry became a reality, individuals became active in ministry with youth, and the idea of lay ministry spread to other areas of the church.
