Abstract
  • Assimilation of newcomers happens effectively by enabling them to enter into small group life. Newcomers must be connected with 'community' to mature and to find meaningful relationships and roles. The project looks at theological and sociological foundations concerning assimilation of newcomers. Research via surveys done by three years of Pastor's Classes was done in order to identify trends and draw conclusions. The major conclusion of the project was that the implementation mini-congregational approach would enable newcomers to find meaningful roles and relationships in our congregation.
