Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was threefold. First, the director sought to inform the church concerning its biblical responsibility to the bereaved. Second, to motivate church members to commit to become involved in hands-on ministry to the bereaved after the funeral. Third, the director developed sermons that helped grieving people to be comforted and facilitated them in their healing process. This facilitation was accomplished by better understanding of the hope and comfort given in the Scriptures. These sermons were developed to be applicable to other churches with members in grief situations.
