- Abstract
- This project was designed to facilitate the assimilation of new church members. A lack of engagement in ministry and fellowship provides opportunities for newcomers to fall away unnoticed. A four-week course for new members was the heart of the program and required the project leader to design and acquire resources. Church members and members of the staff provided assistance with the preparation, instruction, and execution of the program. Each new member received information regarding the church, ministry opportunities, Baptist basics, and the Christian life. Participants identified areas of potential service and were contacted regarding future training and ministry opportunities.
