Abstract
  • This project involved the training of lay persons in the development and implementation of a marketing strategy. The writer trained select members of Trinity Baptist Church of Tracy to develop a marketing strategy using basic marketing principles. The writer set out to make outreach more intentional and visible. The writer developed an entry-level manual to educate lay persons in basic marketing theory; these lay persons comprised the marketing task force. Task force training occurred to develop and implement a simple marketing strategy. The writer led the task force in marketing research, the writing of objectives and goals, and the formal writing of a marketing strategy. The task force implemented the plan over a six-month period. Finally, they evaluated the marketing manual and marketing strategy.
