- Abstract
- Although the Korean church has grown rapidly in recent years, it has neglected the serving and caring function, which theologically is essential to the nature and mission of the church. This project sought to carry out an experiment in caring ministry by training laypersons to care for the aged in the Donam community in Seoul, Korea. The results of pre- and posttests showed that the attitudes and beliefs of these laypersons regarding the nature and function of the church were significantly changed through participation in caring ministry. The aged also came to recognize the church somewhat more positively.
