Abstract
  • This project is designed to unify the communion traditions of a united church that is related to two different denominations (United Methodist and Presbyterian). The goal of the project is to develop a communion service that combines the eucharistic practices of these Episcopal and Reformed traditions into one order which reflects both traditions. It uses small group study and discussion as methods. Six Bible studies provide the biblical basis for a series of eight group sessions in which theological, historical and practical considerations for communion are addressed. Work sheets for each session are appended.
