  • This study determined the extent wives of Dallas Theological Seminary alumni who participated in Seminary Wives in Ministry (SWIM) felt it prepared them for their current ministry situation. The researcher used a survey instrument to gather data for this summative evaluation. The majority (70.2%) agreed that SWIM prepared them for ministry life. Wives who felt best prepared were older, married longer, had older children, and/or participated in several SWIM programs. Women who felt least prepared were younger, married shorter periods of time, had no children or very young children, worked full time, and/or had limited participation in SWIM.
