- Abstract
- The thesis is that a bicultural, bilingual congregation offers a model that protects the uniqueness and integrity of cultures while achieving reconciliation and community. Racial and cultural barriers are explained through relevant literature on the history, culture and sociological experience of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. Biblical models point out appropriate paths to interracial justice and peace. The research is applied through a ministry project which generates Christian community across cultural lines.
