- Abstract
- The purpose of the project was to increase the biblical and theological consciousness of the youth group, resulting in positive environmental stewardship and lifestyle changes. The project included: two sermons, thirteen teaching sessions, and a congregation-wide education activity. Responses by the participants were compared to a similar group at Elizabethtown Baptist and the sophomore class at Bladenboro High School. The project met its purpose and goal, but the small population sample made statistical inference inconclusive. Additional study is needed to explore religious factors that may be contributing to a disregard of the environment.
