Abstract
  • This thesis presents an approach to developing worship enrichment that utilizes congregational song as a primary means to facilitate adult learning. The study sets forth the biblical, theological, and historical background for such a method and uses social scientific models of adult education that seek to be sensitive to those adults who tend to exhibit a degree of apprehensiveness toward new ideas or change. The reported results of the thesis project reflect definite progress within the study group specifically, and within the church generally, toward the goals of greater knowledge, comprehension, skills, and interest in worship enrichment possibilities.
