- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of awareness and educational programs on changing a church congregation's trepidation of the HIV/AIDS virus. The programs were designed to create a sense of understanding, compassion and desire to reach out to victims. This qualitative study used pre- and post-survey data, community events, workshops and designed worship services to increase the awareness of the virus. The programs implemented resulted in a positive change in the congregation's attitudes.
