Abstract
  • This project considers the feasibility of applying church planting principles, in established churches, to renew evangelistic growth. Chapter 1 examines demographics of the church and community establishing the rationale of this strategy, suggesting that church planting methods may be effective for growing existing churches. Chapter 2 studies the biblical mandate for discipleship and evangelistic church growth, from biblical theology, commentaries, and the theological foundations of the Church Growth Movement. Chapter 3 considers Church Growth literature relating to renewed growth of established churches and church planting models. Chapter 4 documents the project implementation and evaluation. Chapter 5 offers personal, theological reflection.
