Abstract
  • It was the purpose of this project to demonstrate through the involvement of a group of adult Christians that a new emphasis or foundation could be stimulated for Christian discipleship. The basic material of this course was the life and teachings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, especially his emphasis on christological understanding. This project was conducted during an eight-week, two-hour seminar in the local church setting. The class method involved lectures followed by suggested discussion questions and a final evaluation. The results were to instill in the group members a finer understanding of the relationship of Jesus to discipleship along with an increased involvement in social and community action.
