Abstract
  • The thesis of this paper is 'Changes in ministry and leadership needed when transitioning from church administration to executive pastor.' The literature review examined the differences in the positions of church administrator and executive pastor and the changes in leadership style of those who moved from one position to another position higher on the organizational chart. Two case studies of individuals who were church administrators and became executive pastors were used as the research method. The researcher determined that multiple changes in style of ministry must occur particularly in the area of moving from tight controls to light controls.
