Abstract
  • This project is designed to involve lay church members as mentors to new Christians. The project enlisted church members to lead students--new Christians--through a five-week study of worship, fellowship, Bible, prayer, and witnessing. Those who completed the project felt that a meaningful relationship had been established between student and mentor and that the students (new Christians) had increased in their understanding of the material studied. The project also helped to assimilate new Christians into the church more quickly.
