Abstract
  • This study examined religious experiences with sensory components, in light of women's developmental tasks, focusing on how those experiences influenced the emotional and psychological dimensions of personality. The design included an in-depth interview with four women between the ages of forty-eight and seventy-six. The analysis sought to identify the attachment patterns, discuss how those impacted personality, and discern if one's religious experience could modify those patterns. Initial findings affirm that religious experience can impact internal working models.
