Abstract
  • The purpose of this doctoral project was to enhance teamwork among members of Tabernacle Baptist Church's pastoral team through insights gained from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which is designed to identify personality type preferences. The project was conducted in three phases: (1) a four-hour introductory MBTI workshop, (2) an eight-hour MBTI team building workshop, and (3) one-hour review sessions conducted weekly for eight consecutive weeks. Both pro-active and quantitative methods of research were utilized. Through this project, pastoral team members learned to celebrate their uniqueness and discovered ways of applying their unique personality types to strengthen leadership skills in effective team ministry.
