Abstracto

The purpose of this project was to equip selected parents at The Hill Church, Liberty Hill, Texas, with essential family worship competencies. I started by researching the field of family worship to identify the essential competencies by reading books, articles, and other projects. After the research was complete, I developed teaching outlines to equip selected parents at The Hill Church in Liberty Hill, Texas, on how to lead family worship. I learned curriculum development skills through seminars at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and through meetings with a curriculum specialist. The curriculum, which included four lessons, taught about family worship and how to lead it at home. Once the curriculum was developed, I hosted a conference-style training session to equip parents with the competencies of family worship. The training spanned two days and consisted of four sessions. Once the training was complete, participants had two weeks to practice family worship at home. After the two weeks, I visited to evaluate the family's understanding and execution of family worship. Once the home visits were conducted, the project's implementation was complete.
