Then the author offers a brief history of contemporary Catholic Social Teaching, as begun in 1891 with Rerum Novarum by Pope Leo XIII up to Pope John Paul II and Centisimus Annus. The third chapter focuses in on applying the principles of CST to the topics of Cloning, War, and Abortion. Then the author researched GenXers through focus group meetings. Finally, the author offers implications for preaching based on the history and research.
