- The purpose of this project was to develop a strategy for First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, Mississippi, to assimilate young families. The project director assembled and analyzed the demographic data from Hazlehurst, Mississippi, and First Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, Mississippi. The project director explored methods of assimilating young families in order to inform the assimilation-strategy team. The project director with the assimilation-strategy team developed a strategy that included three key areas of connectivity and recommendations in each area for First Baptist Church to assimilate young families. The team presented the strategy to the deacon council and congregation for approval.
