Abstract
  • This project presents an understanding of marriage which can serve as the basis for helpful intervention in a marital crisis. The guiding concept of the project is that both marriage and ministry are rooted in relational characteristics. This concept results from a program of study that involves course-work, bibliographic research, and pastoral practice. An analysis of contemporary marriage notes the reformation that has taken place in theology and marital practice. After establishing a basis for discussing marriage, the project presents an evaluation of marital crisis which leads to the development of model for pastoral intervention.
