Abstract
  • The study explores the importance of covenant in the Bible, the Protestant Reformation and early congregationalism. Recovering covenant and placing it at the center of the life of a local congregation can renew the church. This is especially true for the United Church of Christ churches with a Congregational background. The return of covenant to the center of the life of the local church offers a path on which a pilgrim people might travel into God's tomorrow and as a bridge which might connect us with other people of faith.
