Abstrakt

This work centered around this question: Can I help the Ordained Elders of the Norfolk District claim a set apart nature of their ordination without diminishing recent gains in the empowerment of laypersons for ministry? It is the author's intention to show the significance of ordination and how it impacts the Order of Elder. The author researched various texts, conducted a survey, and presented a position paper to his colleagues on the Norfolk District. The author reached the conclusion that ordination is critical to the identity and purpose of the Order of Elder.
