- Abstract
- Six two-hour small group sessions combining depth psychology and biblical reflection were participated in by eleven persons. The leader used the socratic (open-ended questioning) method to enable participants to expand their awareness of the power of Scripture in their personal lives. A process was provided for daily prayer and meditation between sessions. Sessions included meditation, writing in a journal, responding to questions, dialogue in small groups and becoming biblical characters. Most participants found the model helpful in deepening their awareness of and relationship with others, including God. They affirmed the use of this process as a model for transformation in the church.
