Abstract
  • This project addresses the problem of how to build a sustainable reproducible inter-cultural church. This project is qualitative in nature; case study research was the primary methodology employed. A biblical theology of inter-cultural community was defined focusing on spirituality, hospitality, and missionality. Ethnographic tools were utilized to determine the emic perspective of the multi-cultural setting of Bethel Christian Fellowship. Characteristics of inter-cultural leaders in a multi-cultural setting were discovered. Transformational dynamics needed to shift a local church to an inter-cultural mindset were described. Synthesizing these insights the researcher delineated a strategy for building a House of Prayer for All Nations.
