- Abstract
- Young families at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama face many challenges, including the responsibility of providing spiritual instruction for their children. Through preaching a five-part sermon series and leading six small group meetings of married couples with school-age children, the project director introduces and recommends the concept of family worship, which he defines as the regular, consistent practice of bringing together all members of a Christian household to worship God through Bible reading, singing, and prayer. Families who practice family worship experience benefits in their relationships to God and to each other.
