Abstract
  • It is the intent of this thesis project to demonstrate that the building, serving, and transitioning that should characterize true pastoral partnership in the Church can arise in a manner that may be contrary to the ways many people experience teamwork in the secular working world. But with proper planning, respect, trust and integrity on the part of a church's pastors as well as elected leaders and members, experiencing ministry together does not have to produce dissonance and anxiety. Furthermore, as pastoral leadership moves through different transitional stages, conflict is blunted. This project is offered as a brief guide in relation to 3 aspects of true partnership: Building; Serving; Legacy.
