Abstract
  • The purpose of the research project was to assess needs and proposed changes in Christian religious education among Baptists in Liberia. Jeremiah's exilic image and Jesus' command 'to make disciples' were the theological rationale. Chapter 3 presents an integrated (indigenous and missionary) education, which the researcher terms palmedic. Chapter 4 was facilitated through a study group, a questionnaire, interviews, workshops (one in Liberia and another at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary). The researcher's analysis called for commitment, envisioning a community shared-story approach to Christian education. Chapter 5 draws up a priority listing of needs for Christian religious education among Baptists in Liberia.
