- This project provided the author with the opportunity to guide and support members of the First Christian Church and the people of the Richardson community as they cope with aging parents. Four seminars held in the fall of 1986 were designed to explore how people age and how adult children can cope effectively with their parents in the new relationship which aging creates. The seminars included one session on understanding the aging process, another on relating to aging parents, a third on caring for aging parents and a fourth on available community resources. At the conclusion of the project the group decided they would like to have a continuing support group that would meet monthly.
