Abstract
  • This project was designed to assist lay ministers to understand the concepts of pastoring in a clinical setting by involving them in a six-Saturday hospital orientation. The project sought, through introducing them to persons from various hospital disciplines, to provide the holistic approach to caring for the sick and dying patient. Participants were given an opportunity to visit patient wards and to reflect upon their experience through the peer group process. Participants were to read three books during the three months. The project showed positive results in the lives of the participants according to the evaluative instruments used.
