  • The purpose of the project was to enhance the project director's ability to offer public evangelistic invitations in a sermon series preached at Wayside Baptist Church, Alexander City, Alabama. Using the ministry skill enhancement model, the project director studied a variety of resources to identify the basic elements of public evangelistic invitations. The project director prepared a series of sermons containing public evangelistic invitations that demonstrate the aforementioned basic elements. The project director delivered these sermons to the congregation of Wayside Baptist Church. The project goals were measured using feedback group responses, reflection papers, and expert evaluations.
