Abstract
  • This project sought to use the ACTS (American Christian Television System) Network as a community ministry of Sand Spring Baptist Church. The goal was to reach into homes previously unreached by the church. Research was conducted through a pretest mail survey and a posttest phone survey. The survey instruments sought to discover awareness of ACTS and audience interest in possible television programs. Results indicated that religious television is best done on a local rather than a national level and that religious television can be effective in ministry but its potential is often over-stated.
