- Abstract
- Integrating the work of staff is a constant leadership challenge. Barth's understanding of covenant-partner with God in the upbuilding of the church and Deming's management theory both address the difficulties and necessity of the integration of the individual into the work of the whole. Research focuses on Karl Barth's theological anthropology and his view of the upbuilding of the church and the management theory of W Edwards Deming. Based upon the research, four guiding principles are formulated for developing a theologically and managerially sound approach to staff relations.
