Abstract
  • This project integrates the psychological perspectives of Erik H Erikson and Carl Ransom Rogers with elements of liberation theologies to serve as an initiating theory and praxis paradigm for ministries among older adults. In a narrative case study of a four-year ministry in an Episcopal parish, the project finds particular themes of being, belonging, and becoming in which older adults can discover and appropriate freedom, and realizes the value of Benedictine principles in work with older adults.
