  • The purpose of the thesis project is to provide a communal theological reflection process to assist preachers in the task of integration. The thesis statement is: Preachers become more integrated and more authentic and effective as preachers of the word by engaging in a communal theological reflection process that is based on experience in dialogue with the Christian tradition regarding embodiment. Academic research includes theological anthropology, biblical studies, feminist theological anthropology, and mercy charism. Qualitative and kinesthetic research include personal experience of energy work and the results of a communal theological reflection series with an ecumenical group of women preachers. the project integrates academic, qualitative, and kinesthetic research into a theology of embodied preaching. The thesis statement is affirmed.
