Abstract
  • Social ministry represents faith made active through deeds of love to meet specific emotional, physical, psychological or social needs in the life of individuals. This is best accomplished when there is an understanding that the Holy Scriptures include social ministry in their discussion of the vocation of the child of God or the ministry of the congregation. Leadership is provided by professional clergy and lay members alike. Social ministry is an activity which must become an integral component of the total ministry of a parish. The two projects which were conducted indicate this fact.
