- Abstract
- This program is an intergenerational faith formation experience at a local congregation in the United Church of Christ. It replaced traditional confirmation education for youth and provided faith formation opportunities for adults new or returning to faith. It prepared participated for today's changing religious landscape and to shape the church moving forward. The program offered the opportunity for Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation) or Reaffirmation of Baptism. Special attention was paid to the multicultural and multifaith communities the participants are engaged in, and the call to retain one's Christian identity while affirming the movement of the Holy in other faith traditions.
