Abstract
  • This dissertation explores apprenticeship for leadership development in rural Isaan churches. It reviews biblical foundations for servant leadership and dimensions of its contextualization among the Isaan. It investigates and defends the thesis that apprenticeship is an appropriate and effective methods for developing servant leaders in Isaan. Effectiveness is evaluated through action research, applied to the leadership training program of LIFE. Qualitative materials compliment quantitative analysis for a mixed method analysis. The training approach produced new leaders. Statistical significance occurred in the increase of churches, supporting the hypothesis that as new leaders emerge, new churches will be planted.
